The lyrics to a song I wrote when recovering from heartbreak.
Apprehensive
You broke my heart.
Did you know that?
I tossed and turned.
Could you sense that?
You taught me what love was
and you showed me how pain hurts.
Then you, you gave me lonliness,
all in the same breath.
I, I still love you,
but I don't think I want to.
Why did He bring you back again,
and to what end?
If I, I let you see my heart,
Would you tear it all apart
with your smile?- It devastates me
Please don't. You'll only break me.
